Incoming Mail 1853: France 40 c. orange, a single example and a horizontal strip of ten formerly wrapped around the edge of cover, used with single 10 c. bistre on 1857 cover from Le Havre to Rio de Janeiroendorsed "per Paulista", all tied by 1495 petit chiffres in black. Circular "Bureau Maritime / Le Havre" cds (May 3) alongside framed "P.P." in red and rated "960" reis due to pay in manuscript. File folds and some margins shaved but as Brun certificate states: "affranchisement exceptionnel à 4 fr. 50 c.". Cert. J-F Brun (2015).
