1915/23 - Union King's Head Issues Postal History
Used as forerunners in South West Africa Postal history. Fine collection on album pages starting with 2 x 1/2d pre-printed postcard 'Passed by Censor', Keetmanshoop to Windhoek, and Omaruru to Swakopmund, 1d OUTJO to Windhuk. 2 x 1d internal Luderitbucht mail opened by censor stickers, mixed frankings letter to Germany with scarce S.W.A.P. at bottom of WINDHUK Canceller. Registered letter with mixed frankings from WINDHUK to the Red Cross, Registered letter to Germany with purple censor on 2d to Karibib. Also 7 x King's Heads on Piece (1 a forgery or backdated on 2 1/2d 1910 issue). Recommended viewing.
