British Bechuanaland 1885/87: Cape ½ d. grey-black overprinted 'British / Bechuanaland', an unused example, variety "Overprint Double in lake and in black", fine appearance, minor horizontal bend, part og. A scarce stamp. Cert. PFSA (1986) Gi = £ 750.

1885/1914: Small range with 1885 4 d. dull blue, wmk. CC, unused and used, 1887 cover to Germany with ½ d. black, 1 d. rose-red, 2 d. pale bistre and 6 d. reddish-purple used from Mafeking with "2½d." split-rate handstamp in red, and attractive but philatelic 'Tamsen' cover multi-franked with ten different adhesives used from Lobatsi to Nylstrom (14 items).

1851: Cottonreel 4 c. black on orange paper, (Townsend Type B), a cut-round example used on small piece, initialled "E.D.W." (Wight) in black manuscript and struck with "DEMERARA / JU 28 / 1851" circular datestamp in black. The piece showing further '1851' date from a double arc cds at top and manuscript rate of "1/-" to pay in ink. Exceptional and of great rarity. Signed Calves. Cert. BPA (2024) G = £ 16'000.

1865 (Dec 1): 1 d. blue, no wmk., perf. 14, an unused block of four, centred to left but of rich fresh colour, unused without gum. Scarce multiple Gi = £ 400.

1883: Bangkok 'B' on Straits 2 c. brown, wmk. Crown CA, a fine unused example of good colour, small hinge remnant, large part og. Scarce Gi = £ 650.

1907/1943: Small group with 1907 first issue set of seven used on registered 1910 cover from Tulagi (March 10) via Sydney to Liverpool (Gi 1/7 = £ 350 off cover), 1937 Coronation set unused, 1939 pictorial set of 13 unused (Gi = £ 110), and a 1943 cover addressed to Franklin D. Roosevelt c/o the resident commissioner in B.S.I. with the part set of twelve values (excl. 2½ d. and the 1½ d. defective) all tied by scarce oval "LUNGA" datestamps...

1866/75: 1 d. green horizontal pair on white wove paper, 4 d. lake-red on pale rose paper, 6 d. pale rose on white wove paper, perf. 12 all on 1869 somewhat battered cover to Hampstead tied by "A13" obliterators from Tortola; together with an 1891 philatelic franking to Munich with five different Virgin Islands stamps (1867/70 1 d. yellow-green and 1 d. green; 1879 1 d. emerald, 1883/84 ½ d. yellow-buff, ½ d. dull green) and Leeward Islands 1...

1937 (April 1): Overprinted on India 15 r. blue & olive, wmk. Star inverted, an unused example centred to right, of fine fresh colour, large part og. A very scarce stamp. Ex Murray Payne Gi = £ 900.

1915 (Aug 16): 1 ch. orange & green, two examples - one position 9 with "No Stop" variety after "Occupation", the other with cracking of the overprint with broken "B" and "U" in BUSHIRE - used on local Malcolm cover, each tied by "BOUCHIR (DÉPART)" circular datestamps (Aug 28) in black. Slight opening tear to envelope at top but a fine and rare usage. Signed Todd AIEP Gi = £ 470 off cover.

1915 (Aug 16): Mirza 3 kr. black & lilac, a used example centred to left, position 5 on the setting of ten, lightly cancelled by circular datestamp in black. A fine example of a very scarce stamp Gi = £ 500.

1851: 3d. red, imperforate on laid paper, mostly large margins all around, including bottom sheet margin, tied to cover to New York  by bold black target cancel and faint strike of arc "Canada" in red, postmarked St. Thomas (12 Jun), shortpaid for the cross-border rate, blue "PAID/ 10" handstamp at right, London (12 Jun) and Hamilton (13 Jun) transit backstamps, reverse with two small mount remnants, adhesive quite oxidized, yet a scarce...

1852: 3d. red, imperforate on medium wove paper, ample to large margins all around and of deep colour, affixed to 1852 cover to Vaughan, Canada Westm struck with fine "STEAM BOAT LETTER QUEBEC" c.d.s. (16 Sep), reverse with Montreal (17 Sep), Toronto (20 Sep). backstamps, portion of back flap removed and tear at upper left, else a fine franking, and scarce ship marking on Pence issue mail, Cert.
