Main Catalogue - stamps
German states: a rich and valuable supply with numerous unused pieces and various rarities, including - among others - Bayern with a one kreuzer black from plate 2 (Mi.-Nr. 1IIa) in mint condition (1,500 €). Or Saxony with Mi-Nr. 1b, the so-called “Sachsendreier” in the extremely rare colour “cherry red” as an excellent luxury piece on a big piece of cover with cancellation by DKr. “Leipzig” for an estimate of 8,000 €. The dissolution of a numeral cancel collection “Saxony”, numerous pieces in exceptional condition as well as a few rarities for instance “212” Leipzig Berliner Bahnhof on franked letter is also very interesting. This rarity will be offered at a starting price of 2,500 €.
German Empire: extensive supply with numerous types, specialties, plate errors and sought-after standard issues Also rarities like “Vineta”- provisional arrangement on card (7,500 €) or the unissued “Burg Rheinstein” (6,000 €) are on offer. The extensive, valuable supply is rounded out by numerous se-tenants, booklet panes as well as stamp booklets. A wide selection of contemporary historical postcards and zeppelin receipts offer interesting shopping opportunities as well.
German colonies / Post offices abroad: an extensive traditional supply with numerous unmounted mint issues, sought-after colours, stamps, letters und specialities, Marshall Islands 3 bisected on card, comes with several issues of the “occupation issues” of German colonies and rarities from Samoa.
Occupation World War I. /Plebiscites / Danzig/ Memel / Saar: extensive supply with sought-after standard issues, better colours, plate errors and varieties. Very numerous Danzig with -among others - mnh “kleinen Innendienst”, mnh “großer Innendienst” as well as several proofs and essays. The official stamps offer the rarity D26bII in mnh condition as a vert. pair at sheet corner; the convergence of “better colour” and rare variety” means that a very interesting Danzig rarity is up for auction!
WW II/Fieldpost: the usual comprehensive supply with sought-after standard issues, also including Montenegro kpl. in mnh condition, including the rarity “10 Lire Verwaltungsausschuss” (Administrative Council). Furthermore, an excellent representation of the Festung Lorient with mint never hinged, unsigned luxury items that partly had only 150 pieces per type, all lots with current photo certificates of authenticity from the expert Lothar Herbst VP. Further interesting pieces are Pleskau with - among others - 3 Pfg Hindenburg, Red Cross souvenir sheet issues, etc., and a supply of propaganda forgeries with “Winterhilfswerk” se-tenants as well as several values that are German forgeries for Great Britain. The extensive supply of Fieldpost provides numerous rarities such as, among others, 5aU *, 5b cancelled, 7B *, 8A cancelled, Rhodos Christmas stamp with cover, units and types, “Kurlandschnellbrief”, “Kurland-Schnellkarte” (considerably more rare than the covers!) and Ostpreußen Fieldpost
German local issues: excellent supply with numerous rarities and sought-after issues, for instance, Altdöbern with rare covers, Demmin with rare commercial covers, Grabow with cancelled postage stamps, Großräscheln with numerous special features and rarities . Other regions like Spremberg, Meißen or Fredersdorf are on hand, offering interesting material.
West zones/Bund/Berlin: selected supply with sought-after standard issues and numerous and plate errors such as unissued values, imperforated stamps as well as badly centred ones, “print on the gum side”, etc.
SBZ/DDR: extensive, highly specialised supply with sought-after types, colours, postmaster divisions and souvenir sheets issues of the SBZ, DDR with colour and watermark variants as well as varieties.
Europe: rich supply with, for example, interesting offers in the regions Switzerland with numerous varieties und specialties, Austria with - among other things - Wipa-Blocks, Renner little sheets, unissued “Gemeindetag”, etc. Liechtenstein with all sort of types, perfins and sought varieties as well as France with Europe rarities “Ile de France” on set cover (8,000).
Overseas: interesting USA supply with numerous sought-after values and rarities like Klassik, 16/25W gest., 73/88 Kolumbus * and gest., 101 *, 138/51 **/*, 326/28 **/*, Peoples Republic of China with sought-after souvenir sheet issues. The collection also contains a supply from “exotic” countries.
Varied collections offerings: with more than 1,500 positions, mostly from private collectors. Including, among others, dissolution of several large estate collections at the beginning of our collections section of the auction, but also during the rest of the auction there are several more estates in boxes, interesting cover lots, regional and country collections, German states, Deutsches Reich, Germany after 1945 in well-developed collections. Europe offers interesting collections as well.
