1910 Presentation Natural Native Galena Specimen, sides polished, engraved 'Presented to Thomas H Hales by the Management of the YERRANDERIE SILVER MINE DECr 1910 (and) FROM YERRANDIE SILVER MINE 100 FT LEVEL'. The Wollondilly, formerly Starlight/Yerrandie Mine (Blue Mountains), main shaft 448 feet, 30 degree slope, total length of levels 20,000ft, opened 1898. Pure native silver was found in the upper 24 levels. Bought by the vedor as sillver, this specimen is however almost pure lead. Weight 33.4oz. A museum quality item. (P)
