Troas, Abydos. Silver Tetradrachm (15.8 g), ca. 175-75 BC. Iphiados, magistrate. Draped bust of Artemis right, bow and quiver at shoulder. Reverse ABYΔHNΩN, eagle standing right, wings displayed; in right field, star above radiate head of Helios right; below, magistrate's name: IΦIAΔOY. SNG von Aulock 1413; SNG Munich 32. Nice old toning. Striking flaw at 1 to 3 o'clock. Very Fine and rare.
