A pair of handles of Atzei Chaim. Made of silver. Decorated with an engraving of vultures and lions.
Stamped by the manufacturer's stamp – EC. Eastern Europe, the late 18th century/early 19th century (circa 1780-1820).
The handles are weighed down with wood and an additional unidentified substance.
The wood had most likely been replaced during the years.
Diameter: approximately 15 cm. Height: 16 cm.

Condition: Very Good. Signs of use matching the age of the item.

On the body of the jug, illustrated reliefs of the Binding of Yitzchak: Abraham holding the knife beside his son, Yitzchak, an angel, and the ram with its horns tangled in the bush.
The lid of the jug is decorated with a sheep and the spout of the jug is shaped as a sheep.

Pinchas Litvinovsky – Lithograph of "Ha'Rav Ha'Nazir", Signed – 90/100

Pinchas Litvinovsky (1894-1985) was an Israeli artist. He was born in Ukraine in 1919, immigrated to the Land of Israel and lived in Jerusalem and later in the Galilee. His work was influenced by various artistic movements and his best known works of art are portraits.
Rabbi David Cohen (1887–1972) "Ha'Rav Ha'Nazir” (The Nazirite Rabbi) was a rabbi, Talmudist, philosopher, and kabbalist. He met Rabbi Kook in Switzerland and immigrated to the Land of Israel after him, to be his disciple and editor of his great book "Orot Ha'Kodesh".
Ha'Rav Ha'Nazir was a noted Jewish ascetic. He took a Nazirite vow at the outbreak of the World War I, avoiding the drinking of wine and eating of meat and not cutting his hair his whole life.

ליטוגרפיה מעשה ידיו של פנחס ליטבינובסקי, ובה דיוקנו של "הרב הנזיר", הליטוגרפיה נתונה במסגרת נאה.
פנחס ליטבינובסקי (תרנ"ד 1894 – תשמ"ה 1985), צייר ישראלי. נולד באוקראינה, בשנת 1919 עלה ארצה והתגורר בירושלים ולאחר מכן בגליל. עבודתו הושפעה מזרמים שונים ויצירותיו המוכרות ביותר הן דיוקנאות.
רבי דוד כהן (תרמ"ז-תשל"ב), "הרב הנזיר", היה גדול בתורה, בעבודה ובחכמה, מגדולי תלמידיו של מרן הראי"ה קוק, אשר נפשו דבקה בנפש הרב ובתורתו בהיותו בגלות שווייץ, וזכה לעלות אחריו לארץ ישראל, להיות דולה ומשקה מתורת רבו ולערוך את ספרו הגדול "אורות הקודש".
הרב הנזיר היה גאון מופלג בחכמת הקבלה. דמותו הייתה מוסרית ואצילית. שאיפותיו הרוחניות היו מופלגות ופלאיות. בשבתות גזר על עצמו שתיקה, כדי לקלוט סודות עליונים. מתוך שאיפת קודש קיבל על עצמו נזירות, לא שתה יין ולא גזז את שערות ראשו, ובנוסף אף נמנע מאכילת בשר כל חייו.
