Restrike of the original silver medal that was awarded to winners during the 1st Modern Olympic Games in Athens in 1896. On the obverse, Zeus is holding the Goddess of Victory with a vertical inscription "ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑ" on the left. View of Acropolis on reverse with the inscription "ΔΙΕΘΝΕΙΣ ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΙ ΑΓΩΝΕΣ" around the perimeter on top and "ΕΝ ΑΘΗΝΑΙΣ / 1896" at bottom. Manufactured during period 1975-1990. Diameter: 34mm.
