1642 half pound, Shrewsbury horseman over arms; rev. three Oxford plumes, representing S2945, but this is a later copy, possibly Victorian, struck in good silver and weighing 64.3g. Not to be confused with an electrotype, the edge looks perfectly contemporary (i.e. 17thC) and the coin has a perfect 'ring'. Very rare and certainly rarer than the original, VF and toned
Estimated Price: £600.00 - 750.00
