Pre-Long Beach Auction #84

1848 N-38 R3 VF35. At least ten points sharper but nicely recolored glossy steel brown and chocolate with traces of frosty lighter reddish steel brown in protected areas. The only significant marks are some well-hidden radial lines added to stars 2-6 in an attempt to make those stars appear more fully struck. LDS, die state c, with a strong line connecting two leaves under the F in OF. Tied for CC#10.
