Letter by the Steipler to Rabbi Yosef Shalom Elyashiv – Condolences for the Death of His Father-in_law Rabbi Aryeh Levin – 1969
Letter by the Steipler, Rabbi Ya'akov Yisrael Kanievsky, to Rabbi Yosef Shalom Elyashiv. The letter contains greetings for the upcoming Passover. Seven lines handwritten and signed by him.

On the reverse side of the postcard, he added in his handwriting: "While the postcard was ready to be sent, we heard about the death of his father-in-law at an advance age…"

מכתב מאת הגאון הסטייפלר, הגאון רבי יעקב ישראל קניבסקי, אל "כבוד הגאון ר' יוסף ש. אלישוב", ובו ברכה לקראת חג הפסח. שבע שורות בכתב ידו ובחתימתו.

בגב הגלויה הוסיף בכתב ידו:

"בעוד הגלויה מוכנה לשלוח באה השמועה מפטירת חמיו הרה"צ וכו' זצללה"ה בשיבה טובה ובכתר שם טוב....".

מצב טוב מאוד.
