BUWAYHID: Baha' al-Dawla, 989-1012, AR presentation dirham (5.53g), AH392, A-1574var, a most remarkable type, struck with the normal dies in the center, then struck off-center five times around the margin, unpublished and likely unique, VF, RRR. The mint appears to be al-Bakkâr or al-Nakkâr or something similar, probably a location somewhere in southern Iraq or Khuzestan, to just by style & calligraphy. A reference to the Bakr tribe is also conceivable.
