An extremely rare stamp with no example known unused and no example present in the Hurlock, Marriott, Ramkissoon or 'Scarborough' collections. A rarity. Cert. 1861 (June): 4 d. lilac, rough perf. 14-16½, an unused horizontal pair of good fresh colour clearly showing the separations especially centrally and at top, unused without gum and with two creases but a very rare multiple - none being present in this shade in the Hurlock, Charlton Henry or Marriott collections. 1862/63: 1 d. crimson-lake on thick paper, perf. 11½-12, a used example on 1863 entire Printed Circular to Pointe à Pitre, Guadeloupe, tied by "1" numeral obliterator in black with manuscript '1' alongside fair only "♚ / PAID / AT / TRINIDAD" in red; reverse with double arc 'Trinidad' despatch cds (Aug 2). Acid ink fault to address but unusual.

1862/63: 6 d. deep green on thicker paper, Compound perf. 12 x11x11½x11½, a used example, superbly centred and of rich colour, very lightly cancelled in black. Small indentation at base but a superb example of an extremely rare stamp: just four examples are recorded, this being without doubt the finest in appearance. Cert. BPA (1959) Gi = £ 6'500.

1862/63: 1 s. bright mauve on thicker paper, perf. 13 all round, the famous unused block of four in a lovely shade, well centred and with slightest of creases on one stamp of no significance and not detracting from the appearance with part dried og. 1863 (April): De La Rue (1 d.) lake, 4 d. bright violet and 6 d. emerald-green, unused examples affixed to piece from the De La Rue records, each with italic "Specimen" in manuscript ink. Illustrated in "The De La Rue Collection" edited by Frank Walton RDP on page 6381 where stated that these were cut from the day book on April 28, 1863.
