1900 (Aug 11): De La Rue composite Essays (3) for the 10 s. value in three different combinations of colours (as per the previously offered Essays FA, G and H), the black & red and greenish-black and blue examples illustrated in the "De La Rue Collection" on page 6069, the mauve & purple example appeared in an auction in 1968 prior to the major dispersal of the De La Rue archives. A rare and most attractive group.
