lot # 833 - MILITARY CANCELLATIONS - Serbian military post-offices
GREECE: Military post offices on the Salolica front. The Scarcest office "V.P.Br.64". Registered cover (Registration marking in black colour and n.213) posted from "VOJNA POSTA*Br.64*13.8.18" fr. with 50c. French stamp (foreign registered letter rate) canc. with "TRESOR ET POSTES*504*? 8 18" with Serbian censorship "PREGLEDALA/VOJNA CENZURA (2)" in black, arr. "GENEVE*30.VIII.18". French registration label cancelled in the same ink colour as the number in the Serbian registration marking and the stamp applied so as to obscure the number. Censorship is not mentioned in official documents dealing with opening of MPO 64 (14/12/17), but some later papers prove that there saw a censor at the post office. This cover specifies that he used censor cachet n.2.
