Stamps and covers from the Estate of the late Menachem Niv

Safed-commercial stationary cover of the "Meginim" group at EIN ZEITIM (tiny settlement by Safed) P.O.B 18 franked 10 mils Mandate (Ba # 97), posted in Safed and tied by the local postmark in carmine -red 14 May 1948, addressed to Tiberias shortened by 1 cm on the right with stains & tape marks incl. Y. Tsachor sign, still very rare!, less then 10 covers known. VF & extremely rare!!

Safed- Philatelic registered cover from 16.5.1948 to Haifa with the local postmark cancelling incl valid Minhelet Ha'am stamps, sent by Mr. Sh Plazkor, well known Haifa philatelist to the Safed postmaster incl Mandate R- Lable 4375 partly creased in left side, cover & stamps with stains, very rare, as it is unkown if there are any genuine commercial M.H. covers at all. Still VF & extremely rare!!

Safed - 10 m local Second Printing cpl left types 4.5.&6 (two stps of each) VF strike of the local large two pmk 6 May 1948, FD of the pmk in Carmine, on back the black imprint ot type 1 from trial printing of Safed stationary cover, VF & Very RARE!

Safed- proof trial print of single first setting type 3 on the face of the original envelope paper. Certificate sign on backside by Dr Steinberg inc. one used stamp to compare, VF & extremely rare!!

Safed- 6.5.1948, commercial cover from first day of siege, addressed to Hadassah Jerusalem (sent by the Hadassah branch in Safed with their bilingual cachet on back), probably went with military convoy to TLV, from TLV to Jerusalem by military airplane according to ROSETTE Minhelet Ha'am arrival postmark on back, genuine in every respect, with scattered stains & black ink mark top left. Very Rare Example of Mail between Two Besieged...

Safed- Israeli post: Registered commercial cover in manuscript no, "Safed 77", in Red pen at upper left, franked 25 m Doar Ivri stps (10 & 15 m) tied by reintroduced M. Ha'am pmk in carmine- violet repeated twice on back dated 3 June 1948, transit mandate pmk ROSH PINA, 4 June 1948 & arrival HAIFA 7.6.1948, Israeli trilingual pmk Extremely Rare, Similar sold a few years ago for $8400. VF & extremely rare!!

1948 NAHARIYA 5th slogan 19 AP 1948 to Jerusalem by Taxi Kesher, VF strikes front & backside, cover is registered but as stated in the Postal History of the Transition period in Israel 1948, part 2 p. 20 except for a few covers prepared for philatelic purposes, registered are not known from this period. However, this is unique as well as, cover with stains on both sides. VF & extremely rare!!
