Indien - Used Abroad - ADEN, 1860/1930's: Comprehensive and specialized collection of about 170 covers, postcards and postal stationery used from, to or via ADEN, plus about 66 Indian stamps (some on pieces) used in Aden. This impressive collection shows the wide range of postal history of the various P.O.'s in and around ADEN (as from Perim) and their postmarks, datestamps, censor marks, picture postcards etc., from an early cover 1860 from Bombay to Aden franked with a cut-to-shape single of 1854/55 lithographed 4a. blue & red from the scarce 3rd printing tied with the scarce "BOMBAY/B.P.P./Paid" circled h/s in red and with the scarce postmark "Aden Steamer Point Paid" in red on reverse. With, for example, registered covers incl. PS registered envelopes, letters, ship mail or mail written on board of ships, picture postcards etc. from Aden and surrounding P.O.'s like Perim to various European countries (including scarce destinations as Hungary), to Australia, Egypt, Indo-China, Java, South Africa or to the U.S.A.
