S. at Edinburgh (he became Postmaster General) bears two line Cold/Stream, circular name stamps for 1806, 1811, 1813, mileage marks, s/line marks in blue or black 1829, 1832, 1831-39 Penny Post marks in black, red & blue, 1842 MISSENT/TO/COLDSTREAM, 1846 handstruck '2', 1854 Coldstream skeleton mark in orange, Coldingham 1811 & 1815 s/line marks, Earlston 1828 entire to Gifford bears boxed Earlston mileage & Haddington/Penny Post, Earlston s/line marks from 1807 & later, 1837-40 in red & black, Eyemouth 1755 entire to Edinburgh rated at 2d in m/s, the letter says the Lord will not sign a document unless he is paid three Guineas, circular mark (3), 1802-06 mileage marks 1816, 1832 & 1837 mutilated mileage marks. Greenlaw with circular marks of 1805 & 1812, Greenlaw P.Post 1829 circular & boxed mileage marks, Lauder incl. 1776, 1807 & 1825 LAU/DER marks, 1813 circular mileage mark, s/line Lauder from 1829, 1831, 1839 & 1840, Leitholm incl. 1823 & 1825 penny post marks, Press incl. 1798 & 1799 s/line etc. Swinton incl. 1825 Penny Post, also 1838 cover to Melrose bears a Swinton/P.P in black & Coldstream/P.P in red.
