1911 first official UK aerial post violet card sent by Greswell bearing the message 'I am taking this one with me on the first acceptance' signed by Greswell. It had been intended that Greswell, the senior pilot, should carry the first bag containing the special privileged mail, in the event the wind was too strong for Greswells Farman biplane and Hamel made the first flight, leaving Hendon at 4.50pm in his Bleriot monoplane. This card franked ½d Edward, cancelled by Die I cancel. Rare.
