1886 (Jan-Feb): Unadopted Keyplate designs for 2 s. 6 d. value in dull violet and 10 s. value in green, with blank Duty Plate and Country legends, each overprinted TASMANIA and new values in black, each in an unused block of eight (4 x 2) from top left corner of the sheet with Plate number "2" in margin on wmk. TAS paper, perf. 14. Fresh and very fine, unmounted og. The approval for the final design was delayed and although Tasmania received these values, they were never issued and the St. George & Dragon designs were re-issued instead.
