First Issue, Overprinted at top 1903 (June 1): 4 a. slate-green, a single example used on 1904 registered cover to Peterborough tied by "Berbera / Somaliland" cds (May 10) in black. Reverse with London (May 21) transit cds. Carried at the civilian rate even though the sender, Sergeant W. Eade, was serving with the 1st.
