Territorial Post Offices 1872: Egypt 1 pi. red, perf. 12½ x 13½, a vertical pair and two further used examples on 1874 double rate cover to Metelino, Greece paying double the Port-to-Port and internal rates, tied by "POSTE KHEDEVIE EGIZIANE / MINUF" circular datestamps (Jan 7) in black. "Poste Khedevie Egiziane / Alessandria" transit cds (Jan 7) and fine "V.R. POSTE EGIZIANE / METELINO" arrival cds (Jan 12) - with year date "74" inverted - the earliest known use with the error. File fold touches one adhesive but a rare and appealing incoming cover that displays well.
