1970 (Dec 2): Essay for the "Chatham Islands 180th Anniversary of Discovery" proposed 5 c. value but eventually utilised for the issued 1 c., hand-painted on large card (274 x 165 mm.) with additional strip for colours used, signed at base by the designer "Eileen Mayo" in pencil at lower right with notifications of the colours at lower left and a 'colour strip' below, together with the issued 1 c. adhesive. Unique.
