1938: Easter Island, the set of six unadopted hand-drawn Essays prepared by the artist Jose Moreno B., for the 50th anniversary of the annexation of Easter Island, showing 10 c. value with Moai figures, 20 c. with Pacific map, 30 c. with sailing barque, 50 c. with Cross and Hermano Eugenion Eyraud, 1 p. with Commandante Policarpo Toro and 1 p. 20 c. value showing the president of Chile in 1888, J. M. Balmaceda. Two stamps were eventually issued as semi-postals in 1940. Rare and most attractive group, unique. Ex the Brian Moorhouse estate.
