lot # 351 - kolumbien
1863: Sixth Issue, 20 c. red, block of four, unused, with original gum, types B-B / A-A, good to large margins all round, fresh vibrant colour, strong deep shade, has horizontal crease across top stamps and thin, otherwise very fine and rare being the second largest unused multiple and an improtant item because it demonstrates that only one stone including both types was used to print this value, contrary to the theory that two stones were used. Cert. Bortfeldt (2008). Ex the Brian Moorhouse Estate.
Provenance: Ex The 'Esmeralda' Collection, Investphila, 21-22 March 2009, lot 1749.
