Guanacaste 1885: 2 c. carmine, unused horizontal reconstructed block of twenty, large part original gum, comprising two complete rows of ten stamps all with vertical 'GUANACASTE' or 'Guanacaste' overprint reading down in black, each row showing the four different overprint types; stamp 4 has a surface rub, there is a margin fault in right side of stamp 10 which has been repaired, the two rows have been rejoined and also between column 4-5 and 7-8, some other separation and reinforced perforations with hinges, nonetheless an impressive and eye catching multiple, fresh colour and very rare; unused single stamps from this issue are considered rare Scott 24 (x8), 28 (x4), 32 (x2), 36 (x6) = $22'800+.as unused singles.
