Niger Coast Protectorate 1894: Registration Envelope, 2 d. ultramarine, size F, type 2, used with 1895 2 d. lake, 5 d. purple and 1894 Old Calabar Provisional surcharge overprint ½ d. on 2½ d. blue (setting I), sent from Old Calabar to London, England, dated 18 March 1895, tied by "OLD CALABAR RIVER" cds in black. Endorsed "Per S.S. Axim", with "REGISTERED / LIVERPOOL" oval alongside dated 18 April 1895 and registration fee imprint cancelled by "LONDON S.W." single circle dated 19 April 1895. Opening faults to flap and imprint, also part of back has fault, scarce combination and correct rate.
