1858 (August 5): Entire letter to Amsterdam, franked with 1852 10 c. grey black horizontal strip of four, large margins all around, tied by grid cancels, postmarked Luxembourg, black boxed "PD", faint red Amsterdam arrival backstamp (7 Aug), small piece torn from reverse from removal of seal, tiny stain to right-most stamp of strip, neither detracting from this scarce franking, correctly prepaying the 40 cent rate to the Netherlands.
