1806/1884: Original Act for "Granting Rates of Postage on the Conveyance of Letters and Packets to and from Gibraltar and the Island of Malta" dated 3 July 1806 on three sides of four page document with edge wear but scarce; and 1884 Malta Postal Notice in two vertical halves (one in English, one in Italian) dated at Valletta on 8 December 1884 for "Discontinuance of use at Malta of Postage Stamps of the United Kingdom" and stating that "Malta Postage Stamps, to be used on and from the 1st January, may be purchased at the GPO, Valletta on and after the 27th December". A historic pairing.
