1948 outbound Jerusalem siege mail: comm. cv to HAIFA franked 10m per letter rate using 1st J'lem locals (Ba102) on 2nd day of issue, tied by local interim pmk & 10 MAY 1948 dater. Could have been carried on 1st convoy of 18 June, though lacks backstamp as not reg. letter (non reg. convoy cv's are rare); could also have been taken by courier via "Burma road", opened 1 June (note light horizonal fold: most courier covers were folded, mostly vertically).
