Andreas Schlegel - Managing director and shareholder Born in Roth in 1960, he has been living in Berlin since 1963. Following his Abitur, he received an outstanding philatelic education within his father´s firm, Hans-Georg Schlegel. He learned everything about the job of expertising and the field of commerce. In 1984, he became the youngest member ever to join the philatelic experts’ association Bund Philatelistischer Prüfer (BPP). After the completion of an internship at Jakubek Auctions, he took over the highly reputed specialized shop Schlegel, situated on the world-famous Kurfürstendamm in Berlin. As a father of four, he has successfully extended his company 'Andreas Schlegel'. Realizing a long-hold dream, he now set up the 'Berliner Auktionshaus für Philatelie GmbH” together with his business partner, Jürgen Hantschel.
