 Lot 10134 - militaria Australia - Status International Stamps & Covers Public Auction 366Sword: 1827 Pattern British/Australia, George VI Naval Officer's sword Engraved 'RAN Loan' on both hilt & scabbard. Ricasso marked 'Wilkinson Sword London by Appointment (George VI - 1937 to 1952). Blade & hilt bears the Georgian crown & Royal Navy fouled anchor. Remnants of ray skin only on grip & of gilt on hilt which now shows as white metal as are the metal pieces on the black leather scabbard. This has a crease in the leather 24cm from the hilt Tassel with portepee knot in good order. Well worn but o/w GC indicating continuous service.
