Classic 100 pesetas Spanish banknote de 100 pesetas 1 Mayo 1900 front proof, P.51p. Classic 100 pesetas Spanish banknote dedicated on the front with bust of the great writer of the Golden Age Don Francisco de Quevedo. Reverse in bright brown print inks with a classic drawing of Minerva with laurel wreath in the left hand and olive branch in the right hand, beside it two cherubs representing Agriculture and Fine Arts next to Horn of Plenty. (Reverse of a sublime artistic group). This Specimen is a proof of state finished on original paper of the issuance of a 50 pesetas banknote. It has a beautiful watermark with an Apollo head at upper center, "50" at left border and the initials "B. E. "(Bank of Spain) An extreme rarity for its exquisite conservation and great rarity. Multicolor printing inks of a bright and intense tone. The obverse portrait shows the famous finance minister who carried out the Spanish confiscation, figure of a woman representing Justice and at center an infant vignette with symbols of Agriculture and Industry. On reverse a very impressive work of geometric frets and in center the Spanish Coat of Arms of the House of Borbon, flanked by columns of Hercules with ribbons with the legend "Plus Ultra". Reverse in an intense dark brown printing ink. Specimen made and finished in the original paper of emission and only known next to another one left in American auction in much lower quality (PMG 55) Even the Bank of Spain doesn't have it in their collection.Extraordinary Rare and UNIQUE!
