1 billion Drachmas (7.10.1944) (type II) printed check in dark blue on white paper, used as banknote by the Bank of Greece, Agrinio branch. Handwritten S/N: "42780". After the Germans left the city of Agrinio, the bank issued checks used as banknotes with the signature of G Fanos (the bank director) to pay for the salaries of the employees of the public sector. This specific check is redeemed and is stamped by the Bank on back. Printed in Agrinio. Inside holder by PMG "Choice About Unc 58 EPQ". Top pop in PMG. (Hellas 276e) & (Pick 149). Rare!
