Megillat Ester (Esther Scroll) on Parchment, with an Impressive, Carved Handle – Italy, the 19thCentury
An ancient, impressive Esther Scroll. Nice scribal script.

Age of item: more than 200 years.

The scroll is rolled on carved wood decorated with metal platters.

Size: 17 columns. 22 lines. Height of parchment: 17cm. Height including the wooden handle: 40cm.

Condition: Good. The margins are flawed as well as the handle with omissions of parts of the metal decorations. On columns 10-11 corrections in script that is smaller than the rest of the script of the scroll.

מצב: טוב. פגמים בשוליים. פגמים בידית עם חסרונות של חלקים מעיטורי המתכת.

בעמודים 10-11 תיקונים בכתיבה קטנה יותר מכתב המגילה.
