1862: 1 p. lilac, printed on grey-bluish paper, used, cancelled by the "BOGOTA" Pearl oval in black, cut into top otherwise good to large margins, exhibits the colourless flaw above "PE" of "PESO" and other print characteristics which are consistent with the Sperati reproductions of this value and thus this stamp is the actual plate position used by Sperati to produce his forgeries, the only difference between the genuine and fake being the...

1862: Fourth Issue, 1 p. lilac, bluish coarser wove paper, two used examples, both cancelled by "BOGOTA" Pearl oval, one in the extremely rare blue colour the other in black, slight faults, although complete margins and fine appearance, scarce duo Scott 23 = $3'500. 1863: 10 Cent large block of 53 stamps (7 x 7 + 4) with the four lower stamps arranged sideways, being a complete sheet of 60 stamps less the top row of seven stamps. Good to large margins all round, couple of minor faults and folds (two stamps in the last row with each a thin and next to it in the selvage, otherwise fine unused most part original gum. The largest multiple of this issue and a major item of classic Colombia.

NACIONAL / FRANCA" oval in black with mansucript "1864", good to huge margins all round, extremely fresh printing, strong colour, bright shade, attractive, rare; one of two examples with this cancellation. 1862: Fifth Issue, 20 c. red, three used singles and one unused single, positions 51-52-53 and 60, forming a partial reconstruction of the base of the sheet, each mostly with large margins, with frame-lines enabling them to be the basis of the study to determine the arrangement of the sheet and providing proof that the bottom row was positioned sideways below position 60 with sheet margin clearly displaying the connection with the row above,...

1862: Fifth Issue, 50 c. green, block of four, comprising three type II and one type I (top right), unused, with large part original gum, good to very large margins all round, fresh colour, small tear top (second stamp) and close tear at base into lower left stamp and some thinning, otherwise fine, a rare example showing different types in combination.
