Without gum, a fine and attractive stamp Gi = £ 450.

Swan sideways, an unused example with large even margins all round (Row 10, stamp 1, Pane D, position 196) showing plate variety "N of PENCE narrow and compressed AUST of AUSTRALIA", similar to position 176 (Gi 3n) where "RALIA" of AUSTRALIA is squeezed, fresh and very fine, unused without gum. Scarce and attractive Gi = £ 375.

1854 (Aug 1): Lithographed 4 d. pale blue, wmk. Swan sideways, an unused example with good to large margins all round and sheet marginal at base (Row 12, stamp 5, Pane C, position 235), the stamp can be distinguished as from Pane C by the marginal watermark "STA" of POSTAGE (inverted) in the sheet margin; unused without gum, fresh and very fine Gi = £ 375.

The 1 s. value was produced by Horace Samson by taking Transfers from the 10th to 14th vertical rows of the 1 Penny: the 7th to 11th rows on the engraved plate and superimposing Transfers of the oval Shilling frames to produce an intermediate Stone of 60 and eventually a printing stone of 240 impressions.
