1929, 3 Sen commemorative Crown Prince's Visit to Taiwan (sold only at Taiwan post offices!) in Block of 10(!) alongside with other miscellanious Japanese commemoratives (air ship rate 3,10 Yen) on large size commercial cover (sized for shipping docs such as Bill of Lading or Bill of Exchange) despatched from Yokohama by AIRSHIP GRAF ZEPPELIN to "The Silk Center Building" New York. Very striking cover by Airship transport from Tokyo-Los Angeles-Lakehurst to final destination, w/ Messrs Georges Audoyer private forwarder's date stamp on back side Yokohama AUG 21, 1929, clearly legible red GRAF ZEPPELIN Round-The-World-Flight 1929 and date stamp TOKIO C.P.O. 21.8.29 and arrival meter cancel LAKEHURST N.J. AUG 29, 1929 in green on reverse side. Truly beautiful Zeppelin cover (Sieger No. 31 B / Michel Zeppelin Nr. 31 E) and most probably UNIQUE AIR SHIP USAGE of the notorius 3 Sen Taiwan Visit stamp!
