1852, 2 baj greenish grey tied to envelope from "ROMA 12 OTT 66" addressed for Terni. The Papal administration did not accept the annexion of its territory by Italy and treated Terni as "domestic" and applied the inland fee, the Italian administration taxed the letter as unpaid and applied 2 10 c postage due stamps, which were tied by the Papal grill in Terni. Despite some aging a very appealing item illustrating the difficulties of the Italian nation building process.
