Envelope written from Tien-Tsin dated '27th Dec 1860' addressed to France bearing French 'Napoleon' Yvert 14, 20c blue tied by 'CECB' with adjacent 'Corps Exp. Chine./Bau B' date stamp '28th Dec/60' and framed 'PD' in red, over-struck by 'CECB.C' applied at the Bureau Central in Shanghai with framed instructional 'Affranchissement/Insuffisant' on face in red, routed via Paris with transit and Rouan arrival 'April 26 1861' on reverse. Lovely item from the French Troops relocated in Tien-tsin sent at the Officers concessionary rate but not authorized by the Chef of the Detachment. Great rarity. Catalog Price 6000,00
