1735/1852: Assembly 34 pre-stamp covers from and to Italy, incl. 1835 letter from Bologna to Bastia (Corsica) via Antibes, 'VIA DI NIZZA' on 1846 cover from Bastia  to Reggio Emilia, four covers (1844/47) 'par Huningue' (Basel) via Milano and St. Gotthard, twelve letters sent via Tyrrhenian Sea as 1735 Captain's letter from Civitavecchia to Marseille and 'DE TOSCANA' h.s. on three covers to Marseille, further nine letters sent via the Adriatic Sea with 1785 letter from Corfu via Otranto to Venice, 'POSTA SETTINULARE / CORFU' h.s. in green on disinfected letter to  Venice, in blue on 1809 letter as well in black on 1808 letter, both to Milan. A fine and exceptional group.
