1840: 1 d. black, pl. 5, lettered QE, ample to large margins all round, used on Mulready 1 d. envelope, stereo A153, used from St. Columb to solicitors in Bodmin, Cornwall tied by fine strike of Maltese Cross in black. Reverse with red wax seal missing but with double arc "ST. COLUMB" cds of despatch in blue (Feb 15, 1841). According to BPA (1994) cerrtificate the adhesive lifted for checking and replaced.
