1819 (Dec 26): Entire letter from Arcot to Madras, with rare negative circular "ARCOT / POST OFFICE" postmark (unrecorded in Giles) on reverse, manuscript "Post Paid A 2" rate, clear oval MADRAS arrival datestamp of the same day on reverse. A most interesting item within the Madras Presidency.
