Forwarding Agents 1848 & 1854: Entire letters (2), the earlier example written by the Forwarder Briggs to Rothschild in Paris  via the French P.O. with "20" décimes to pay; the second entire written in Alexandria (not by Briggs) and struck with fine oval "FORWARDED BY / MESSRS. / BRIGGS & Co." in black, sent via the French P.O. to Livorno. Scarce.
