(Service Militaire) at top, addressed to the Payeur Générale Mr. de Bellot; from the commanding officer at Varna C. Le Vaillant. Blue Eagle cachet on reverse "Armée D'Orient - Le Chef D'État-Major De La 5 Division". The letter, in some detail, asks for Mail arriving for the Troops to be sent on immediately (the French embarked for the Crimea a week later). An important document.
