Recess by H. Best 1857/69: Chalon 1 d. red-brown, imperforate, wmk. '1' inverted, a used horizontal strip of three from the first printing in the same colour as the previous unwatermarked pelure paper issue, from base of sheet with wmk. lines, large margins on all sides and showing portion of adjoining stamps at top and at right, cancelled by crisp strikes of "75" numeral obliterator of Hobart.
