1851 (June 15): Prepaid entire letter from London to Melbourne, Victoria endorsed "p. Overland Mail via Marseilles" struck with London PAID cds in red (June 21) with rate altered from '1/10d.' to '2/2d.' in manuscript red ink, unusually landed and struck with two fine oval framed "PORTLAND / ♚ / NEW S. WALES" datestamps in black (Oct 12) and oval "MELBOURNE / ♚ / PORT PHILLIP" arrival (Oct 16) in blue.
