Stampless Postal History, 1834 (August 19): folded cover to Kirchausen, Wurttemberg, postmarked with fine strike of Galt double split-ring in red, endorsed in manuscript "via New York", boxed "Pays D'Outremer / Par Le Havre" French handstamp on front, without backstamps, tear at lower left and some light edge toning, with accompanying note written in the hand of Alan Steinhart outlining the rate calculations, a scarce destination for Canadian mail.
