Collection of twelve covers all single franking 1864 1 d. reds with the Azemar Machine cancel from the Second and Third Trial (18 May 1871 to 8 November 1872). Neatly presented upon six exhibition pages with detailed and informative write-up. Includes six examples from the Second Trial and six examples from the Third Trial featuring Codes 'AB', 'BB', and 'CB'. The latter includes a cover showing the town die in a disintegrated condition, the outer circle almost entirely missing. Some imperfection and faults, although several uncreased. A scarce assembly.
