Egypt Stationery 1897: 1 m. brown envelope, overprinted in black with "SOUDAN" in Arabic and French, uprated with 1898 1 m. brown & pink, used from Sawakin to Halfa camp, dated 30 December 1901, cancelled by "SAWAKIN" circular datestamp in black, with an additional strike alongside. To the back a "KASSALA" datestamp in black 14 January 1902. Some toning and soiling, otherwise fine. A very scarce usage and combination; only 250 envelopes printed (H&G B1). Cert. BPA (2011).
